Non Executive CFO - Profile

28 of Paul's 35 years in business have been spent in blue-chip companies and telecoms, IT and internet sectors, in both senior financial and operational roles.  He has main board, Plc and City experience and worked for companies such as Motorola, ICL, Mercury Communications and Cable & Wireless.  

Between 1997 and 2001, he worked closely with the founder of a telecoms start-up and turned this into a profitable business with £80m revenue, 500 employees, one of the leading players in its markets and being listed on the London Stock Exchange. It was here that he gained his experience of acquisitions, fund raising and investor relations.

Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (he even won a 1st place in the institute’s examinations), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, and a Member of the Institute of Management. 

In 2001 Paul left corporate life and went “plural” and now provides his services on a non-executive basis to privately owned/VC backed and early stage/high growth businesses. Paul is based in Berkshire and his UK clients are usually in London and the South East.  International clients have been based in the USA, Thailand, Israel, France, Spain, Lithuania and Dubai.
